The Mutiny
4.4
- Neighborhood: Bucktown/Wicker Park
- 2428 N. Western Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60647
- 773-486-7774
A dive bar that reaches new depths, The Mutiny is hard to find, barely lit, marginally clean, and raucous fun top to bottom. Indie-rock and punk bands play the makeshift stage on weekends, and the raw setting is ideal for rougher bands (and their rougher friends). The pool table and jukebox complement the almost biker-bar feel. Single-serving mini-pitchers of beer are a crowd favorite. Do avoid the restroom here, but don't look for up-and-coming bands anywhere else.
