terrible staff...just go somewhere else.

I went to this bar on more than one occassion and each time had the same experience. The service is slow and the staff doesn't appear to care that there are costumers in the bar. Terrible food, don't order anything. After the last visit, i'm never going back again. If i could give the bar zero stars, i would.

Great Place

This is truly the place to go for football in the city of Chicago. On top of great atmosphere and good bar food, owner goes all out to facilitate watching any particular games you're interested in. Check the schedule and come in on a big derby matchday and you will have a good time.

What a turnaround

This place must have had a change of management. The employees were absolutely great, food was fantastic and the soccer hooligans were great fun!!! What ever you are doing, keep it up! A year ago I swore that I would never go back to the place, I am glad I gave it another try.

Best Football Pub in the State!!
By Chelsea4Life from west side, February 26, 2008

Overall rating:

The Globe Pub is the finest establishment to watch your sports. For the majority of us, who are football fans, aka “soccer” this place is the best. No other place offers the supporters of their teams the opportunity to view the games. For big games, the atmosphere at The Globe Pub is remarkable and I dare anyone to match such. This is not your spot to clubbing or dance away. This bar is for all of those people who are passionate about their team, sport, etc. The staff and owner are great and friendly. The food is fine for being “bar food”. I have been to many such establishments throughout the United Stares yet none can match what this pub offers. If you like and enjoy football, rugby, etc. this is the best place to watch your team period.

not a good time
By John from Loop, February 20, 2008

I really didn't like this place. The service at the tables was so slow that we had to go to the bar to get our drinks. The fish and chips were so greasy that even I could finish it, and they had a soccer game on so loud that my friends and I were yelling at each other over the table. I will not be going back.

Bad food (greasiest fish and chips I have ever seen) and even worse service. Place wasn't that crowded/busy, just a surly, bored waitress who clearly hates her job. Only thing to recommend this place is the many televisions - so if you don't mind crappy service while you watch the game, this may be the place for you.
