Want that old-time tavern feel but with a spruced-up look? The Continental moved into the old Pizza Lounge--a neighborhood hang for more than 100 years--and cleaned things up but kept that cool, corner bar atmosphere. Plus, blown-up and framed black-and-whites photos from the '20s show you what the space used to look like. Rock 'n' roll tunes play, DJs occasionally take to the decks, and patrons sidle up to the original bar for a beer and a shot. I don't understand the popularity of this bar. It's small and the service isn't all that great. You'll be very lucky to find seating after 11pm.
