Ok, well don't know if people ever graced the previous establishment that was here before, The La Donna lounge, but it was a complete pit. Seriously. Radiators, one window shaker for cooling, wood paneling along all the walls, and a dropped ceiling of awfulness. The list continues but why bother writing about that.

The new is what I want to talk about. A sound system that bumps, been in the past couple of nights and seems they are getting a better hold on the dj's and the volume, it was completely reasonable and they were pumping out some jams!

A crazy chandelier of light bulbs casts dim lighting throughout the bar, lots of candles, 8 beers on tap, and an awesome back bar made of barn wood. They also carry a tasty special brew on tap, look for the deer horn tap, its delish.

The bar is long, holds about 15 people, has comfy redish bar stools with backs, and for the ladies, they put hooks under the bar for your belongings, nice touch I think.

2 church pews line the left wall with little tables in front and from what the bartender was saying they should have some stools arriving shortly, thank god. It's chic but still chicago, a really good blend. And the bathrooms are pretty crazy as well, the wallpaper in each one is really cool.

The boys who put this together did a lot of work and quite frankly i'm exuberant about this place. It parties! Oh and any establishment that puts a lite brite above the dj area stating in nice neon pegs NO REQUESTS wins in my book. Check it out, it's a fun place.

This spot is just plain and simple good times!

Dirt cheap booze, cool staff, and there's always something interesting playing musically. Rivals danny's in this category easily.

Can get loud on Saturday's but if i wanted tea time i'd stay home- Thanks for opening yer doors burlington!

This kind of bar is...

This kind of bar is exactly what this neighborhood needs! I know I will frequent it often. However, I do have to take one star off. One, the music is WAY too loud. Don't get me wrong, it is great music. But to converse with my friend, I had to practically press my lips against her ear and even then my throat was sore the next day from yelling. There would be no way to have a conversation with more than one person at a time. I went on a Saturday night though, so hopefully during the week it will be better. Also, they could use a few pale or india pale ales mixed in to the beer selection.

Great beer, wine and liquor selection. The service is excellent. Very cool laid back atmosphere and decor. There is always great music playing and one of the best touches are the boomboxes hanging in the bathrooms playing classic mix tapes and tracks from the past. Check this place out!
