No waitress.......

Depends on what night you go. I went on a Saturday night and had the same lovely waitress who is fabulous. Then I go on a Sunday night and we were there for 45 minutes and never got waited on. Much better than a year ago, but the staffing continues to be an issue.

I live in the neighborhood, and this is one of my favorite bars.. But about 7 of the past 10 times I've been, I've been terribly disappointed with the staff....they were rude and acted as if it were a chore (not their job) to wait on my friends and I ... (a real bummer on my birthday) I will continue to go because I love the location, food, and environment, but this place could be top notch if they improved the friendliness of the staff... I work at a bar; it's a key factor in the experience!

Great neighborhood bar. Excellent, unique beer selections and fun relaxed vibe. I highly recommend getting sweet potato fries with your sandwich and sitting on the patio to enjoy your evening.

Just a very cool vibe - always happening but never crowded. A true neighborhood spot. Unreal beer selection on tap... Barkeeps are very cool and friendly. In the summer the windows are open and it is great. I couldn't ask for more for a local bar.

Quaint, yet refined. Comfortable, friendly, atmosphere. Incredible food for a bar. The burger is one of the best in Chicago and the steak tacos are sublime. The beer and wine selection is extensive if not inexpensive. I'd be there every day but I would soon go broke. The perfect meeting place expecially in the winter months. The dimly-light, warming interior is extremely inviting. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Probably the best bar in Chicago if not the world!

This is one of my favorite places in the city. It's got a great neighborhood feel, the outdoor seating area is fantastic (except in the spring when the trees drop these little balls of something all over creation). The Burger on Buena is one of the best I've ever had. Try it with guac, bacon and cheddar cheese if you really want to give your arteries a work out. The beer list is amazing--stay tuned for seasonal changes. The wait staff is ALWAYS friendly and attentive. An excellent neighborhood place.

My husband and I live in the neighborhood and this is our local place far from any other around here. We usually stop in once a week to have some dinner or sometimes on Sundays for the live jazz and we have never had any complaints, outside of the food sometimes taking awhile when the place is busy but what can you say about that. The beer list is extensive with both bottle and draft choices and the menu has alot of variety (not typical bar food wings, chx strips ect..)and everything is very reasonable priced. Though I would have to disagree with some of the reviews that say the service is bad. We have never had anything less than really great neighborhood friendliness everytime we've gone and our waitress is always giving great beer suggestions to my husband whose determined to make his way through the beer list.
