My mom picked this place for Mother's Day brunch. I should've insisted we leave when we walked in and the place smelled like stale urine, kind of like a nursing home with beer. For the brunch, you had to order eggs and the beef from the waiter, and everything else was on the buffet. We waited about 15 mins. after he took our drink order for him to take our food order, then we had to wave him down. Just after that, I noticed an ant crawling across the table and killed it with my napkin. I told our waiter, who replaced the napkin, but didn't apologized or send over the manager. By the time our eggs and roast beef had arrived, I'd completely lost my appetite. This place is gross. I wouldn't even come here for just drinks. Oh, and what little food I did eat was worse than a McDonald's breakfast.
Report This ReviewNice out of the way location with great laid back atmosphere. Our service was great and our food was done perfectly. My wife and I would recommend the port to anyone looking for an easy night out.
Report This ReviewMy friends & I went to dinner here last week and had one of the worst customer/dining experiences we've ever had. We waited about 15 minutes for a table in the beer garden (no problem), about 20 minutes to be acknowledged by the server (a slight problem), a total of 45 minutes from being seated to put in our order (not good, but not the end of the world), and another hour and a quarter to actually get our food (ridiculous -- we had burgers & fish fry!). We did not fare much better on the completion of our drink orders, either. Our server was very apologetic, but blamed the unacceptable timing of our food & drink to an understaffing of the dining area & the kitchen. Accordingly, we spoke with the owner on our way out. We explained what occurred over the course of our meal & our concern that if they can't keep the restaurant properly staffed to be able to provide an acceptable level of service, we're not going to be coming back. The owner's response was actually to laugh, and to tell us that he didn't care that we had a bad experience or if we come back. I think it is important that other people considering giving him their business know about his apparent attitude towards customer satisfaction. (The food was mostly fine, by the way.)
Report This ReviewWe love the servers at The Port. They treat us like regulars. I think the previous reviewer had an experience that was not the norm! We love the unpretentious food and atmosphere at The Port. Great family spot.
Report This ReviewWORST service in the world. One of the best beer gardens but do not come here with high hopes in terms of food and definitely not service. Apps came out after meal and bill! Food was served to us at all different times and drinks were brought for each person at different times too. Such bad service it was eerie. Great beer garden and place for drinks but do not eat here or plan on being very patient and/or disappointed
Report This ReviewLove the fish fry! It was the best I ever had!
Report This ReviewI've been here a few times and have had great service each time. We ate dinner there on a Sunday evening and the food was surprisingly great!! The chicken quesadillas were the best that I've ever had. Great service and no smoking in the dining room!!!
