If the mark of a good bar is having your friends stop in or being friends with the staff Sheffield's wins out the most friendly staff around I am friends with about half of them, it is a great place. If you never been there you have to give it a try. The food is good and the bar itself is excellent four different bars on the weekends. If the front gets to crowded just go to one of the other ones if you like it relaxed.

Even for a neighborhood dive, this place falls short. Really bad service and rude staff.

Love this place! Loved it back in the day - and even better now! Great inviting space - Great food and drink - Great place to hang out with friends.

It's been a loooooooooooooong time since I've been to Sheffield's. Maybe 10 years? Since I've been there last, they've changed their menu! Their red pepper hummus is fantastic, as well as their fish tacos. They still have a huge selection of beer. And you can't beat sitting out in their beer garden before and after Cubs Games. I'll definitely be back!

We were VERY disappointed in this place. We heard great things, so we were excited to try it out. I admit, they have a great beer selection, but the food and service is TERRIBLE. The food was very over-priced and not good at all. The service was worse. It took forever to even order and then even longer to ever get someone to come back by. The restrooms were also disgusting. This may be a great place to drink with friends but a terrible place to eat.

I was at the Cubs game and decided to grab a few drinks with friends after the game. All the usual suspects were crowded (cubby bear, moran's), so we decided to go to Sheffield's. Walked in and the place was pretty full, but what really shicked me was how friendly everyone was from the door guy, to our server. Usually we expect to wait for someone to acknowledge us at any wrigley bar, but this was completely different. They have a huge beer list (almost too big), and great food too. If you wanna get away from the frat boys, go here. New favorite bar in lakeview.

wow, if you like good beer this is the place for you. 20+ draft & 160+ bottles. allagash, 2bros cane & able, 3fd's gumballhead, maudite, founders rubaeus, oh and a little beer company called SURLY!!!! the staff knows their beers for the most part, the beer garden is huge, and the fish tacos are awesome!

I think that a lot of the people who gave Sheffield's negative remarks for things like watered down drinks probably just walked into the wrong bar. You do not go to Sheffield's for a mixed drink, you go there for the selection of over 100 beers. The BBQ they just started this summer is great and the beer garden is the best in the city. Just don't go here if you are not looking for a neighborhood bar because this is one of a kind

This venue is not all that far from wrigley . It has a neat beer garden that really fills up fast during warm months . They have a great selection of beer and ales on draft . this is a mellow crowd that hangs out here . Try the BBQ meals that they offer some of the best this side of the Mississippi . Our server was quick to get our order and seemed to know the area well and give us tips on other Wrigleyville locations .

A classic. One of the best beer gardens in Chicago. I don't know what all these people expect, its a bar. A classic Chicago bar, can't go wrong if you like beer gardens and beer.
