Disappointed

This was my first and most likely my last time entering this bar. I was first let down when they notified my table that they were out of ice tea. But I moved on... I ordered the sweet chili pepper chicken panini. My friend ordered the burger. When the food finally arrived the burger was almost completely raw inside. The server did not come back to check on us until I leaned over and starred at her. Then she took the burger back and it took an enormous amount of time to eventually get the burger back which was quite the opposite of the first. it was burnt to the point that it was difficult to cut. Now normally I would not attribute this to the server. It was almost laughable though when she asked my friend to make sure it was okay and then walked away. After about 5 minutes passed she finally came back but we were already fed up with the lack of service. Every time she came up to the table she looked as if she hated her job and wanted to go back to bed. I understand wanting to not be at work on a gorgeous day but when you are in the service industry you should just suck it up and do your job. At least the french fries were good.

Not the best place

The service was present but quite sloppy. The server was unenthusiastic and not too helpful. They did not have a lot of beer that they showed on their menu and the same with their food menu. The music was very random from N' Sync to Beach Boys to Michael Jackson. The atmosphere was pretty good, dark lighting and chill feel, not very crowded, great for a more conversation based evening.

i love this bar

i love this bar because its so unpretentious (unlike some bars across the street cough cough)
---you can go in wearing sports wear or club wear and not feel out of place
---you can hang out at the bar/tables/back room (if theres not a private party) or make use of the dance floor (which is a bit small but still works)
---i love the mix of dance/hip hop/80s/rock tunes
---the waitstaff (bartenders/cocktail waitress'/busboys) are all very polite and attentive
---the bouncers are nice guys who actually do their job instead of simply pretending to be big shots
***red ivy is one of my favorite bars in the wrigley area
my only gripes are that it can get a bit too crowded at times and the music is sometimes way louder than it needs to be

what a cool place! awesome atmosphere, great big HD tv's, great looking casual crowd, nice beer lineup (and sweet martinis for the lady friends) and wonderful deep dish pizza... best in chicago!

Just went there this past Thursday for a girls' night out. We watched Grey's Anatomy, ate some GREAT food and got a free massage with some promotion they were having. It was awesome! I highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Well my drink was ok.But, people with attitude problems to customers should complain why knowone is going there.
