My girl and I went on an open mic Tuesday. This older fella was working the crowd with terrible jokes while being heckled by a French poet. Another guy whipped out a recorder and started playing "hot crossed buns". We felt like we were in a David Lynch movie. Genius! Needless to say...but said anyway- this is now one of our favorite bars in the city.

My boyfriend said this was the coolest bar on the west side. But when we got there, it was like all sticky everywhere we tried to sit. The bartender was slow, and the drinks were watery. The band was okay, but they kept stopping to tune up or something. The bathroom was so gross, I just held it instead. I wouldn't go back, unless they change so the atmosphere isn't so stinky.

i fell in love there with lulu and the fact they serve a lot of rumplemintz. reminds me of a neighborhood bar i frequented in michigan and i love quirky regulars.
