Murphy's Bleachers
- Neighborhood: Wrigleyville
- 3655 N. Sheffield Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60613
- 773-281-5356
- Price range: $ (Under $9)
Packed to the rafters with beer-swilling baseball fans during and after Cubs games, this open-air bar across the street from Wrigley Field also serves up burgers, homemade soups and chili. From the roof of Murphy's you can sit and watch the Cubs while quaffing one of many available brews. The late, legendary Bill Veeck used to greet fans here and a player or two has been known to stop in after a game. The oak bar lends a homey feel; sports memorabilia crowds the walls. Murphy's becomes a more low-key neighborhood pub in the off-season and on non-game days.
