If you are ever in Chicago, you MUST make this restaurant/pub a destination. I got super lucky when I was in Chicago a few weeks ago. This place was just across the street from Acting Studio Chicago where I was holding a casting. It was the perfect location and right price before catching the Orange Line back to the airport. This place has THE best Mexican food I've ever had, and that's saying something. The service is very friendly to boot.

Mother Hubbards late night Pizza

Wow! I had to write this. We all work on Hubbard St , bartenders and waitstaff, One of the big reasons we hang at Mother Hubbards after work is that we LOVE that thin crust pizza. I cannot believe that that one reviewer didn't love it. He is probably a Domino's pizza fan. The sausage pizza at Mother Hubbards has Anichini sausage. I know. I asked. We always get one after work about 3 times a week.

The only reason to go to this bar is:

1. You're wasted and want crappy pizza at 3 in the morning...
2. You want to keep drinking until 4 in the morning (or 5 on Saturdays)...

This place has outstanding. friendly waitresses, but otherwise skip it, unless you're blackout drunk!

I love coming here after a long night of work. It's a great place to hang out with your friends and get some good drinks and good food. The nachos are amazing! I didn't really care for the burgers though. But if you really like chicken wings, you MUST get the ones here. They are HUGE. You get the whole entire chicken wing, not just the little nub piece, and for $6.95, you will be full and your lips will be burning! After you go a few times, the waitresses and the bouncers will even remember you and you'll feel more and more at home.

My husband and I were in Chicago for a business trip and had a free night to go out and get dinner. We were walking through the cold night in November and not having much luck finding something that we both wanted. We wanted by Mother Hubbards and decided to go in to get warm and have a drink. We stayed all night. The atmosphere was great and our bartender was the best. The food was EXCELLENT...best jalapenos around. After killing several bottles, we headed back to the hotel. We are planning a day trip to Chicago this November and will definitely be hanging out at Mother Hubbards on that day!!

Mother Hubbard's may look like a dive, but the atmosphere, food and service are outstanding. Very friendly people and lots of HUGE TVs. Try the wings.... they are hot as hell, messy, and best of all served whole.

Mother Hubbard's is the neighborhood bar for the company that I work for. After work we always stop by where we know the service will be amazing, there will always be a seat, and the drinks are really cheap. We love it.
