Formerly Puffer's, the bar was sold by brothers Chuck and Bruce Puffer and opened under new owner Tom Mitchell in October 2006. With two dozen bar seats and 30 table seats, Mitchell's Tap easily handles the capacity crowds it attracts. The menu features more than 35 varieties of beer, with an ever-changing tap-beer selection that includes Old Rasputin Russian Stout one month, Anchor Steam the next. A selection of fine wine is also available. Bowling and golf machines and darts can help pass the time.
