Built in 1890, this building has played hosts to a handful of saloons before it became John Barleycorn, a well-loved neighborhood standby for Lincoln Parkers. Model ships and artwork throughout give the place a classy nautical feel. The spacious patio is a prime spot to catch some sun (and some sports, thanks to two large projection screens) during the summer months; in the winter, its heated and enclosed. The menu features soups, salads and sandwiches, and brunch is served on weekends.
