Romanian music has found a home on Chicago's Near Northwest side at Hot Shots Sports Bar. Both popular and folk music can be heard most Friday and Saturday nights, with no cover charge. A listing of upcoming musicians is posted outside in front of the venue, but due to visas and other related paperwork for the visiting musicians, dates are tentative. The owners inherited the seemingly misleading name, and the very American beer list, from the sports bar that used to occupy this space. The Hot Shots name was kept to let potential customers know that this is not exclusively a Romanian bar.
