Amazing bar with amzing beer.

Its no wonder this bar is rated 5 stars.
It has an amazing atmosphere and a very knowledgeable bar staff. The most amazing thing about this bar is its beer selection. Not many places in this neighborhood have caught on to the recent beer trends of selling quality beer over quantity, but Guthrie's apparently has done it for years.(wish i would have known earlier) It even had Great Lakes Ed Fitzgerald porter, my favorite beer of all time, on tap. I will definitely be stopping in again soon!

Within walking distance from Wrigley Field, this is a great alternative to the crowded Cubby Bear and Co. As you enter Guthrie's, you can't help but feel like you are at your Grandpappy's for a stiff drink and a friendly game of Boggle. Food, while not cooked in house, is plentiful, as Guthrie's keeps menus from all neighborhood restaurants. Great for a first date, family reunion, co-worker outing, or death match of competitive scrabble.

Guthries is my favorite bar within the Wrigley field area. It is cheap, and very laid back. Being four blocks west of wrigley field, it is a perfect place to unwind after a cubs game. Another thing--the staff is great!

This is a great neighborhood bar! I was a little weary about going there at first because that area is very expensive, and other pubs around there are ridiculously overpriced. I was relieved to hear my first mixed drink was $3.50. The service is good and the atmosphere is so cozy and great. A great place to hang out with a few friends and play some board games. Weekdays are your best bet, though, to avoid overcrowding.

This bar has a nice selection of tequila, good beer, and plenty of games to play in this nice atmosphere. One of my top hangouts when I want to relax.
