Great burgers, good beer

I really love spending time at Gio's. Their burgers are huge, interesting, and always delicious - I've got to pay special attention to the chopped steak on focaccia bread, as it is my favorite sandwich I've had since I've moved to the north side! The beer is basic, but cold, and they have a relaxed atmosphere and a decent pool table. The service could be faster, but it's such a great place to chill out it doesn't really matter.

Great place, great food, excellent burgers and wings

I live in the neighborhood and go to Gios at leat 4 times a week. I go there for the specials like the spicy chicken pasta on Mondays, $199 burgers and fries on Tuesday, and the best wings in town on Thursdays. Great Beer specials as well every day. I hate cooking and that is why I go to Gios because it is great and it is cheap daily specials.

The service is great and they have the games I love to play like Golgen T, steel tip darts and one of the only pool tables in the neighborhood. Oh I also love their HD TV's to watch the Cubbies.

I will continue to go to Gios. I can't wait for the pation cafe to open soon. Josh L.

Overrated Dive

First, the beer could be colder.
Second, the food is terrible. Hey, cook: Change the Deep Fryer Grease!
Third, How about some real specials?
With all of the competition in Ravenswood Lincoln Square, there is no excuse for bad food or warm beer.

Period.

Great place to meet with friends, play pool and darts. Every day offers a special and karaoke on Sat. is a fave. Very friendly environment and great service. Want a place where you're known by name and are treated fabulously, go to GIO's. Also, great food with enough assortment to suit all tastes.

This place used to be my favorite bar in the neighborhood but lately the service has been terrible. I don't know what happened to the regular bartender but they need to bring her back. It's not like it is so awesome that I am willing to wait 30 minutes for the waitress to get back to me.

I love this place. I went there last Sunday to watch the Bears win the NFC championship game and I had a blast. They have all HD TV and a large projection TV and the crowd gets into the game. Great Prices. PBR is @2.50 and I loved the 20 OZ guiness pints at $3.50. The food is also great. I will be there watching the Bears win the Superbowl.

It has amazing food and a very low-key friendly atmosphere. Great prices and a nice patio. Also, fun karaoke on Saturday nights!

I went to Gio's a few times with my boyfriend, we'd play darts and pool and he'd watch whatever game was playing. We always had fun there because it's very relaxed and they have great food and cheap beer. So I decided to throw a birthday party for him there on a Weds. Everyone had an awesome time! Our friends played songs on the juke box, chilled on the outdoor patio, and ate chicken sandwiches which were only $3! The owners were super friendly and attentive and the bartender made sure we had everything we needed. Gio's is definitely worth checking out because it's unpretentious and it has something for everyone.

This place has really turned around. It has evolved into a wonderful neighborhood haunt. Great food/drink specials, easy parking, cool outdoor cafe, good service, and great food (especially the Steak Fajita Burrito). Places like these are disappearing from the area which is a bummer. Saturday night Karaoke is always a great time. Only minor quibble we have is that they need a smoke eater.

$2 Bud drafts every day--do I have to say anything else? Great neighborhood atmosphere, good Mexican food, and not an ounce of pretension. My only small quibble is the ventilation, but it's an old-school bar for gosh sakes. I moved away from Damen and now I miss this place. Will have to go back soon.
