Di's Den

Without question, Di's Den is the number one darts bar on the North Side. Every Friday night at 9 p.m., dozens of darters gather at the bar for a blind draw tournament, which randomly pairs entrants in a single-elimination contest. The style is Chicago format, which means three games in each round--301, 501, and Dirty Cricket. The entry fee is $5 a player, which means the prize money, which is split between the top two teams, can get as high as $500. Di's has 14 boards, and the spaces between them on the walls are covered with trophies won by the bar's teams in the Windy City Darters, the North Side dart league. The bar also sells a thorough collection of dart supplies, which are displayed in a case near the door.

Great, mellow place. To correct the previous review, the weekly "blind draw" dart tourney is on Fridays, not Saturdays.
