Cunneen's
- Neighborhood: Rogers Park
- 1424 W. Devon Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60660
There is no pretense to Cunneen's. "This is a very low-profile joint," said the owner, who did not want to give out his name or phone number. "It's not a hell-raising place, but we like it that way. This is just a place to come and drink." In business since 1974, Cunneen's is a cozy neighborhood bar for locals. Taking the Spartan approach, there's no jukebox, no loud music, and no food outside of peanuts and pretzels. The modest beer selection includes Strohs and Bass.
