There are only two words we'll have to tell you for Crocodile to be your new favorite bar: Free pizza. Take a seat at the bar or a table, order a drink, and your server will ask you if you'd like a free 9-inch margherita pizza. If you like what you taste, check out the full menu of larger New York-style, thin-crust pies ranging from the Buffalo Soldier (hot wing sauce, blue cheese and chicken) to a traditional white pie with ricotta, mozzarella and garlic. A weekend brunch menu features specialty pizzas loaded up with ingredients such as eggs (scrambled, poached and fried) and bacon.
Framed crocodile art, an abstract jungle mural and silvery faux croc-upholstered banquettes give a nod to the name, as do cocktails such as the Jewel of deNile (strawberry-infused vodka, strawberry puree and champagne) and Midnight Rambler (their take on the mint julep made with apricot-infused Jack Daniels). You'll also find affordable wines by the glass and brews ranging from Fat Tire to Hacker-Pschorr on tap. A pool table and jukebox star near the back of the space, while a downstairs lounge will open for overflow and DJ parties.
