Blind Robin

The owners of neighborhood pubs Green Eye Lounge , Lemming's and Underbar took over the space last occupied by Hitchcockian tavern Bar Vertigo and gave it a completely different look. But, hipsters may still get a case of deja vu when they realize that the back bar is from the old Lava Lounge on Damen Avenue. Green walls and hints of orange (a nod to a robin's breast color) warm up the bar, which is all about cold drinks and chit chat, according to the spot's unofficial motto. Bartenders double as DJs to provide the night's soundtrack, and board games are at the ready for patrons looking for some friendly competition. Bonus: One of the Blind Robin guys partnered up with a founding member of the band Waco Brothers to open the Wicker Park indie wine shop Cellar Rat .
