Bernie's

My family has always enjoyed going to Bernie's for a beer and a brat or burger before Cubs games. However, we are now searching for a new place to go before the game as the music at Bernie's is SO LOUD that you cannot carry on a conversation with people at your own table. This is a great place but they need to realize that music should be part of background and not the focal point. My sisters and I are in my 20's and 30's so we are not really old people who can't handle loud music. When you have to yell at the people sitting next to you in order to be heard the music is too loud.
Report This Reviewthe best beer garden in the city. A lot of the bartenders make going there a lot more fun. I love it and highly recomend it
Report This ReviewBernies is where the older cub fans head after the game . Service can be slow once the place fills up . Had a great burger there and the server did her best to wait on our table . Alot of fans know each other at this location and we thought the prices were not bad at all. We will be sure to stop back when visiting Wrigleyville . Go cubs 08
Report This ReviewI go there before the start of Cubs games, and thats it. It serves that purpose and that purpose alone. Meet people up in the beer garden before games, spend a couple hours there and then leave. Food is bad. Service is slow, unless you are in the beer garden.
Report This ReviewBernies is the spot to be in in Wrigleville...a true classic.
Report This ReviewWe tried to meet up with friends for St. Pat's and could not get our whole group in because apparently they were doing the logical 10 out, 1 in system. It was insane because you would watch 10 people leave and then they'd split your group by only letting like 2 in. Once inside it was over crowded and you could not walk without many things getting stuck to your shoes. I'm sure part of this was just St. Pat's, but I went to many other bars that handled busy days like that much much better.
Report This ReviewMyself and several friends went in early on St. Pats. Always have a great time at this bar. Good food, cheap drinks, and a laid back neighborhood crowd. Go Cubs
Report This ReviewI will never visit this bar ever again considering there are plenty of better places in the area.
If you like to wait in line and deal with rude and obnoxious bouncers, this is your place. Nothing better than a ratio of five people leaving and only 2 getting in. After the wait, the bar was nothing more than a local hole in the wall. It maybe different after/during Cubs games, but it is not worth the time waiting in line to get in.
Report This ReviewBernie's sucks! Awful bar, atmosphere and service. I will never step foot in that stinkhole again -- don't waste your time.
