Bad Dog Tavern's sleek interior may look a little out of place in a neighborhood known for its homey, old-world feel, but the pub's friendly vibe makes it a perfect fit. Its strength is its duality: The back half of the room is a minimalist (but not snooty) dining area; the front half is more for grabbing a drink. A dozen HD plasma TVs help you keep tabs on your team as you fill up on burgers, sandwiches, pizza and heartier entrees. Depending on where you stand, you can appreciate Bad Dog for what makes it different (the granite floors are a nice touch) or for what makes it familiar (the friendly staff and stiff drinks).
