I'm kinda surprised by the other reviews. I thought the food, service and pricing were all right on. I'll be back for more.

Recently I went with a friend to A&M on his suggestion. I'm not much for Mexican food but I really like his selection. The place was a bit cluttered for my taste, but the atmosphere and the wait staff were relaxed, friendly, unpretentious. I loved their chocolate martinis (had 2) and the little tortillas with a variety of fillings. I thought the prices were very reasonable. The music was not so loud you could not have a conversation and we spent a very relaxing two hours there. I will definitely go back.

two thumbs down!

was completely disatisfied with my experience there. Food is not that great, and overpriced for the quality. we sat at our table for 15 minutes without being acknowledged so we moved to the bar and ate there instead. bartenders were hosting for themselves. our margarita glasses (mugs) were cracked and sharp at the rim. will never return!

What can you say....

This place is themed around everything mexican except the food. It's over-priced for the portions and just a tad authentic. The staff is courteous but lacks real authenticity. Nice place to meet up with you buddies, have a drink and go to your main destination.

Good Mexican Food?????

Being a Mexican food aficionado, it agravates me that people get taken in by atmosphere
and decor and not into food, service or quality of drinks. Alhough I must say the place
is interesting, the service is bad, the food is bad unless your a Taco Bell junkie and overall this place is your tipical Theme Restaurant and nothing more. Ever been to
The Forest Cafe, well same idea here only Mexican and colorful.

I too will pass it up and head west to Adobo or Caoba next time I want authentic Mexican
Food with good service.

BEST Mexican food EVER

LOVE this place. Can't get enough. Atmosphere is fun, but the food is to die for. Their burrito grandes are absolutely addicting. My boyfriend and I are trying not to eat one every weekend but it's soo hard to steer ourselves away. I think their salsa is the best I've ever tasted.

This is one of our new neighborhood favorites. We've been several times and never had a bad meal or drink. LOVE the swirl margarita.

A good Mexican Substitute!

The nachos in this place are exceptional! The Pitchers of Margaritas were not as strong as I would have like them but they were flavorful and after 2 pitchers I was pretty satisfied. My friend had the enchiladas entree and she really loved them, the rest of us had an assortment of tacos which were really good. Overall, the service was good; the atmosphere was not pretentious and who doesn’t love a good mariachi band! We will definitely be going back.

All looks and no substance

This was by far the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. How anyone would go there instead of going down the street to Adobo for good guacamole is beyond me. The service was very slow and not very friendly. The staff is too worried about their True Religion jeans and their Ed Hardy shirts to be attentive.

Good TexMex anyone? Love this place!!!

My husband and I just moved back to Chicago after being in Texas for 12 years. We were really worried that we wouldn't find a good Mexican food place that served great frozen (which is a rarity in this town) margaritas.

Well once we went to Angels & Mariachi's....our problem was solved!

They have great drinks and food. I'm actually a little surprised that they've received negative reviews from everyone. They are really attentive/give us great service, recognize us every time and we don't live in the area. We've been to a number of other more expensive Mexican restaurants in the downtown area and have been sorely disappointed. This has been our one glimmer of hope that you can get good TexMex in this town.

We honestly can't say enough good things about this place. I recommend this place every time I can.
