Isn't it ironic that Bottom Lounge reopened under the L tracks, after the original Lakeview location was closed in late 2005, and ultimately torn down, to make way for the CTA's Brown Line expansion? Well, Mike Miller (Delilah's) and the original owners teamed up to bring Bottom Lounge back, and as you might have guessed, they've gone for bigger and better. The two-floor bar/restaurant/live music venue amps up the original concept and aims to create a fun night for all. The second floor Volcano Room (and adjacent 120-seat outdoor deck) is open to the public when it isn't playing host to private parties and events.

Volcano Room and second-floor patio: 6 p.m.-11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 6 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday unless otherwise noted
