The food here is so horrible, I dont know how they have been in business so long. I ordered enchiladas, which were comvered by a layer of provolone cheese.......how is that Mexican?! The salsa tastes like ketchup, so much so that I ate the chips plain. So sad that there are no better Mexican options in the neighborhood, because I truly hope to never eat here again!

Yuck! This place should not be called a Mexican restaurant. I gave this place 3 chances because my southside girlfriends always want to meet here (they don't get our much!)
The tasteless margaritas are watered-down at best. Margaritas are not that hard to make-especially the original kind! The food is very bland-tacos have potato mixed in with the steak!?! and who still uses iceberg lettuce on everything?, ceviche is overspiced & made with under-quality seafood. Chips & salsa are good-order a beer if you are stuck meeting your friends here! And then go to Taco Bell, at least they don't claim to authentic!
I have visited this place on many occasions. We alwayse sit outside, and have consistently had good service, good food and good margaritas. I have had better margaritas, better service and better food elsewhere, but better is farther away so I chose to settle for good here in the neighborhood. The outside seating is worth the visit!
Report This ReviewWe had to send back margaritas back, because they tasted like frozen ice, and nothing more. Instead of apologizing, the manager harrassed us for sending them back. We brought the matter to the attention of the owner who just defended his manager. We won't be back. Go to Mario's (Blue Island) or Jalapeno's (Oak Lawn), instead. You'll get way better service and food!
Report This ReviewThe food and service are terrible. The only saving grace is the outdoor seating - sorely lacking in Beverly/Mt. Greenwood. Go for a margarita (so-so) on the patio and go somewhere else to eat. Mario's Tacos in Blue Island has much better food, drink and service.
Report This ReviewThe food is great. Margaritas even better. Great value for what you get and service always friendly. Also, the beer garden is great during the summer.
Report This ReviewIn the summer it is a nice place to sit outside and grab a meal. Foodwise....it's ok.
Report This ReviewThe food is beyond bland. I have had more kick from ketchup than their salsa. The margaritas are expensive and weak. And you'll be happy to know the owner will nickel and dime you to death. The first basket of chips are free. The next one is 75 cents. The same for the salsa. Sour cream is extra. What a cheapskate! But the entrees are overpriced in their favor. Won't go back.
