With its South Beach feel, along with nightly drink specials, it's no wonder why the drones escape to Xcape Lounge. The ambience at this single-room Logan Square dwelling seems more like an intimate club than that of a lounge. Despite close quarters, Xcape Lounge hosts nights with live music, open mic and DJs alike, sans cover. Don't expect typical bar fare, as the authentic menu offers the likes of Chivito Canadiense, a Uruguayan-style beef tenderloin sandwich, and chicken or beef empanadas. The decor maintains the impassioned, or rather muy caliente, vibe with bright blue acrylic four tops, tables and chairs which are highlighted by the leather and suede banquette. Accented with a granite top, the elongated Plexiglas bar illuminates blue hues. Hanging chrome light fixtures complete the sleek and spicy look.
