At this sleek restaurant and lounge, it's the co-owners -- three buddies who met working in the auto business -- that put the "tri" in Trio. Having opened in late July in the Palos Crossings shopping center, this destination is part upscale sports bar, part restaurant and part concert hall with a full stage. The lunch crowd is significant, with employees from nearby offices and Palos Medical Center stopping in for wraps, paninis, burgers, salads and pasta dishes. The bar crowd settles in after 10 p.m. for margaritas and martinis, plus a fair selection of wine and beer. As for that stage, you'll find local bands -- of the rhythm and blues, jazz and cover variety -- jamming on Thursdays and Fridays, and on Saturday nights, it's a dueling piano show.
