I have been to the Filthy Libertine on a few occasions for dinner and for the ultra lounge they have. The food is absolutely fantastic, they offer a wide variety of dishes that are out of this world. They also have some really amazing prices for this rare delicatessen, and you can order it till 1 am!
After dinner you can expect a higher end crowd to come in for the late night scene. Down stairs they have a more relaxed, laid back feel with tables available to sit and enjoy bottle service “some of the best prices I have seen in Chicago” with a DJ for that section.

As you go up the huge lit-up wooden staircase, you will end up in their VIP section which has several tables and a roped off section for private parties. This section also has its own DJ as well as a bar in the back. Every time I have been to the Libertine its seems to have a great “hassle free” crowd, so it is a great place to take a date without worrying about any drama.

Overall I have had a few great experiences with The Filthy Libertine. The only downfalls are the bathrooms are a little small on both levels, and there is no sign outside which may not be such a bad thing cause it seems to make the place a little more exclusive! If you are in the area I would highly recommend to stop in and check it out.

The atmosphere and the menu live up to their name. Very unique!

My wife and I left the Steppenwolf and wanted to stay away from the "typical" Halsted street dinner crowds, so we started up Clybourn and found this hidden gem.

For being somewhat new, we were surprised to see that Libertine had a good sized dinner crowd. Our server was very personable and suggested we try "The Seducer", one of the abtly named house martinis.

Food was very good & filling. We had the gnocchi and the mini burgers which we very good!

The upstairs lounge was getting crowded when we left. Definately will visit again
