We had a group of 15 people and we go and try restaurants all over Chicago. I ordered their 3 course meal for $39. They didn't have water and forced us to open a $8 sparkling water. Waiter warned that portions were extremely small. First course was sushi which was 5 pieces of fish over what seems like breaded cheese curds. Waited for over an hour until I got a terrible headache and asked hostest about my food. She didn't seem to care. When they did bring out Bacon and Hailbut, both were the worst food I've had in chicago. Salty like they sprinkled Lawry salt to cover lack of cooking skill. Other people in our group also agreed their orders were too salty. The Bacon was pork brisket wrapped in bacon. It was so tasteless and texture was like eating 10 day old gym socks. For poor service, they even added tip to the total.
Maybe just lounging for a drink for out of towners is fine but please don't spend your money on bad food and service. There's too many other hard-working restaurants who care about what they service and their customers than The Drawing Room.
