If you haven't gone on Mondays for $3 Lychee Royale's, your life is not complete. Also, the tempura green beans are fantastic. Sure, you might wait a while for a drink when it's busy, but it's totally worth it.
Report This ReviewFood was ok but an employee (may just be the manager) was downright rude on a recent visit. There are plenty of great places in the area with staff that actually appreciates it when you spend your hard earned money there.
Report This ReviewTrying to find something new and out of the ordinary my husband and I came across the menu for Rodan and thought the Asian inspired Latin cuisine sounded delicious. We were sadly disappointed. Our first clue was the tiny cold biscuits that were slapped on the table with no plates. No plates with the appetizers either...and the waitress never came back. So much potential but everything we ordered (except the deep fried fish and fries, which is hard to get wrong) was carelessly put together and clear that the chef did not taste his own food. My fish taco was burnt, the shrimp was rubbery and tasted like it was sitting around for a week. By the time we realized how bad the food was, our server was long gone, never to be found again until we just wanted to pay and get out. They did have some good, reasonably priced Australian shiraz though, I will give them that.
Report This ReviewIts important to read that people recommend this for drinks. DRINKS. They should give up the food and just be a lounge.
The food was bland and flavourless and our waitress seemed tired and too busy.
Then to add to the disaster of a bad meal - the seven of us were instantly charged a 20% gratuity. We could not even let the waitress know how poor her service was bc we were charged 20%. We were also charged for non-alcoholic drinks.
Go for drinks, just dont eat there.
Report This ReviewI was very pleased when a friend recommended this restaurant to me because I had always just written it off as a very trendy/snobby cocktail bar. However, the food was phenomenal! The appetizers were funky and delicious and the entrée choices ranged from traditional French fare to South American to Asian. The chicken dishes are prepared with amazing sauces and roasted veggies and all of their meat is cooked to perfection. They even had a great beer and wine list. Overall, very impressive service, food, and spirits.
Report This ReviewI LOVE Rodan because:
THE FOOD. It is tasty and affordable.
THE MUSIC. Nothing like enjoying the company of your friends, food, and drink to a great soundtrack.
THE VIBE. Laid back cool.
Did I mention the STAFF? Inviting AND friendly!!
You can not go wrong here!!
Report This ReviewRan across Rodan while looking for another restaurant, really glad we stopped. The vibe was wicked cool, but not pretentious. The staff was very attentive and the food was off the charts! I really enjoyed the DJ's eclectic mix in the background.
Report This ReviewI went for brunch on Sunday and the food was DELICIOUS. I had scrambled eggs with potatoes and the fruit crepes. I have never had crepes before and I must say it was very tasty. Can't wait to go back. The waiter even gave us a discount on our meal.
Report This ReviewWow. I haven't had an experience this bad in years. Let me start by saying that I like the decor and the vibe, but it goes down hill from there.
After standing in the door way for a minute or two I was told to seat myself, while novel its not made clear or really inviting.
The waitstaff was aloof choosing to flirt with other customers rather than check if our food was any good. It wasn't.
Argentinian steak was cold and chewy. And the chili chicken was a flat chicken breast with almost no flavor. Side dishes were bland too. I can't believe how little flavor there was in any of the food. The curry dumpling while hot (and therefore unique) was nothing special.
While the beer list was good, its pricey.
I've never written review before but this experienced compelled me to do it - it was that bad.
We stopped by Rodan for brunch one Sunday morning by pure chance. We were seated immediately, no line like some other brunch spots on Sunday mornings. We ordered bloody marys which were excellent. Worth every penny. The menu was very different, south american and south asian style meals. I ended up ordering the heuvos rancheros and I was not disappointed. I'm not a vegan, but noticed that there were many vegan options on the brunch menu. I was thoroughly impressed with my meal and would definitely recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys a bloody mary. Plus, there was no wait!
