Disappointing

I've been to Rockit few times. Ok, hang out place. Never had a problem with a server but my last visit was very disappointing. The waitress that was waiting on us was impatient and rude and at the end of the night she had a nerve to make a comment about her gratuity. I always tip, 20% most of the time, but if a server is rude I will tip less, that’s how it works. I really hope that management takes this seriously and retrain its staff and teach them what customer service is about.

Karaoke!!

I always go there for food and drinks. My friends and always goes and order Pomegranate mojitos the side dishes. So yummy. I just found out that now they have live band karaoke on Tuesday nights--just another reason why I love Rockit! We're going for karaoke TONIGHT!!

This place rules...I love the sweet potato fries and the hummus is the best in the city! Can't go wrong with this joint! Not to mention good looking people everywhere

Not worth it

This place is totally overrated. We went for a friend's birthday, and were told about 4 times that we weren't allowed to stand where we were standing. The upstairs area was packed, so there weren't many places to stand anyway. We went downstairs and sat at a table, and were told we can't sit there unless we're ordering food. We went to a table by the bar and my friend grabbed a chair from the bar, about 5 feet away from our table. The bartender told her she can't take chairs from the bar. No one who worked here were doing anything to make our experience a pleasant one. They just kept telling us what we can't do. Honestly, this place is ridiculous and the only people that go there are going to be seen. I'm over this place.

Disappointing - mediocre at best

My expectations were greater than the food or atmosphere
delivered. This restaurant is mediocre at best. The food choices were uninspiring and dull. The bathroom was extremely dirty which was quite surprising for an upscale place. Overall, there are better places to eat. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Never ending wait...

Tried to get a table for 6 and sat there for more than 3 hours and never got seated. Management seemed to not care about their failure to be able to seat a fairly typical party.

Twenty bucks for a hamburger? Are you kidding me? We were rushed through dinner because we were told our table was reserved for another party at 8:30. Ironically we had called earlier to make a reservation, but were told they did not take reservations. Went upstairs after dinner for another over priced drink and asked to play pool. We were told that the tables were all reserved and it would be a long wait. All but one pool table was being used at the time and we stayed there for an hour looking at four empty pool tables. I’ve never felt so unwelcome and the food was average at best.

Best sweet potato fries, best pretzel bread, best squash soup EVER. Never had better- I could eat here every day. Fun atmosphere; unique crowd. Good location...but no parking at all.

Overall rating:

Based on initial impressions, I thought this would be a place of pomp and circumstance based on what I've heard about its clientele, but the service and especially the food is great. It's classic comfort food with a hint of sophistication. There's savory Philly cheese steaks and of course the infamous Kobe beef burger. I will be back again!
