I had a surprise costume (retro TV characters) party for my wife here on Saturday night 4/25. It was simply amazing. Five star all the way. I worked with Crystal on setting up the party and she was excellent. Very accommodating and always responds quickly. Great customer service and I asked a lot of questions and made a lot of requests, again she always address them and worked with me. Our server was April and she did a fantastic job. She would bring trays of miller light as that is what almost everyone was drinking and really attended to my every request. When we first arrived we were in the front room and the speaker was not working. After they attempted to fix it they quickly moved us into the back room. Food was outstanding. Pop Rocks were cool and service was above and beyond. Birthday girl was more than pleased with everything. What more can one ask for. I will definitely be going back, and will quickly recommend them for a private party.
Report This ReviewEvery night of the week there is a drink special, so that is what initially drew me in and the drinks were good. My burger was good, not amazing, but good, however I felt a little sick afterwards (I don't usually eat that much beef though so that is probably why). My husband (a true beef lover) really enjoyed his. The atmosphere is cute and kind of quirky, we'll definitely be back.
Report This ReviewA bunch of friends and I tried Reagle Beagle because it's close to the movie theater. We all order and the food was taking a really long time. Three of us order chicken sandwiches. The first round of food came out and then the three chicken's did not come out until everyone else had finished. Then when the chickens did come out, two of them were RARE. It was the worse food I have ever tasted. The fries were good but it's not hard to make a chicken sandwich.
Report This ReviewDespite the fact that our waitress dismissed our polite calls twice and that she refused to take my friend's drink back, the, um, views were also rather tasteless. If you are in the area and want to go to a Hooters look no more, because these waitresses here leave little to the imagination.
Report This ReviewI despise noisy hang-out spots, or ones where everyone looks like they're going clubbing. The Beagle is pretty far from that, and I felt right at home from the instant I entered. The atmosphere is quirky, but not gawdy or overdone. Plenty of seating in the form of couches, booths, tables, or bar stools. The music is not very loud, and people tend not to yell -- a great thing. There are always some good drink specials for happy hour, and even the lunch menu isn't half-bad considering it's only $5. Anyone can feel at home here, from 21 to 81.
Report This ReviewI went there Friday night with a date and we had a blast! The decor is fun but very nice and loungy. The drinks all have fun names from 80s sitcoms and although a bit pricey, were very good and strong. The food was good and the chocolate fondue for dessert was amazing! I can't wait to go back!
Report This ReviewLucky Strike is always reliable. But we were looking for someplace new to eat before heading over to River East 21 for a movie. Negative Metromix reader reviews of Niu Japanese kept us away. The Reagle Beagle sounded interesting. We arrived at the peak of the after work crowd on Friday. The place was jumping. A manager pulled a table and chairs out of the kitchen and we were in business. The food was very good. Especially the generous Boneless Buffalo Wing appetizer. Martinis arrived in a small carafe along with the Martini glass. A nice touch. The place isn't cheap. But with great service (thanks Leah T) and memory inducing music we headed over to the theater happy.
Report This ReviewThis is a great spot for after work drinks. Friday is the best day to go. Definitely an ideal place to meet up with friends or co-workers. It was festive and a guaranteed stroll down memory lane. The service was EXCELLENT. Our server was very attentive and courteous. I was impressed with the number of managers on hand who were very attentive as well. The food is tastey. Try the mini Italian beef sandwiches or spicy egg rolls. My husband and I will visit the Beagle again!!
Report This ReviewI've been here a couple of times after shopping or going to see a movie. I will say that the variety of dishes are both inexpensive and interesting. The atmosphere was a new concept that I've yet to see in Chicago and I feel a warm vibe when I walk in the door. The staff is nice and very helpful. I would go back
Report This ReviewI tried out the Reagle Beagle with some co-workers for lunch and was very pleased with my experience! Not only was the restaurant/bar itself very groovy in its decor, but the staff was friendly and quick as well. The pizzas were delicious and the owner even took the time to come over and introduce himself. I will definitely return for lunch and hopefully a happy hour soon.
