Pops for Champagne knows bubbly and jazz, and after 24 years on a tree-lined Lakeview street, owners Tom and Linda Verhey decided to bring the nationally known lounge to River North. The bi-level space has it all: champagne bar, adjacent retail space called Pops Shop, raw bar, charming outdoor spaces including a courtyard and sidewalk cafe, plus a hip downstairs haven for music lovers. Downstairs, large stones and low ceilings in the jazz lounge create that underground club feel common in European music hangs; contemporary design elements such as a multi-media chandelier and translucent onyx bar make the main level a standout night spot.

Main bar: 3 p.m.-2 a.m. daily

Jazz Club: 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday; live music at 9 p.m. nightly; closed Sunday

Pops Shop: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Cuisine:: American Contemporary and Seafood. daily in the main bar from 3pm – 2am (not closed on Sundays) and that under cuisine that pops does not serve lunch
