So I haven't exactly been a customer at Par Lounge, but I KNOW I will go back. I hadn't realized Sweet Alice had closed and headed there for food one Friday night. The bouncer?/owner?/bartender? at the door saw us looking in confusion at the changed bar. We asked if they had food but they didn't have the food service going yet. This guy couldn't have been nicer- he introduced himself, asked our names, showed us around the bar and talked to us about the future food menu. I'm a sucker for competent, friendly staff at any bar and will definitely go for real soon.

I just went here this past Sat. This place is extra sexy, the crowd was hot, and the BARTENDERS were very HOT. They were friendly, they could actually make a drink, oh and did I mention HOT. There was no food , but the DJ was good, the crowd was good and I watched their Cuban Bartender(Yudon) shake his bon bon behind the bar. I was supposed to go somewhere else, but ended up staying. I will be back.

Par Lounge is the latest and GREATEST spot for a great night out with friends!
I really enjoyed the music, atmosphere, tapas and drinks!!
The staff is very friendly and the crowd is young and hip!
I'd recommend Par Lounge for your next "Girls Night Out!"

I don't know what some of these people are talking about...this is the new spot for '08! Unless what your looking for is a bunch of lame, young, obnoxious students and tourists...then maybe this isn't your spot. But if you want some of Chicago's real flavor...and some good looking people that are doing things...then you should come through Par Lounge around 11pm on any night. The owners are always around and are good people...introduce yourself to them. I guarantee you will have a good night. Check it out!

This place is overrated. The drinks are expensive, the management sucks and the crowd is trashy.

Dont waste your time or money.

The atmosphere will have you wishing you spent your time elsewhere.

PAR-LOUNGE......the BEST little spot in Wicker Park. We don't go out without hitting this place first. This lounge has a comfortable and laidback scene with great drinks, music and food. LOVE IT!!!

This is one of the coolest places in wicker park/bucktown!!!! This place has the best LOOKING staff i have ever seen. The crowd is extremely diverse and social. The owners bartend/wait tables/cleab up all while partying like rock stars. I feel in luv over and over again when i saw all the hott girls coming in and all were down to earth. Thats what you have to love about wicker park and this place truely represents the area. If you see a guy bartending with crazy curley hair, ask him for the famous shots he makes (he's one of the owners, super cool guy).......
