Rude waitresses and mediocre cuisine- I can handle that...but what I couldn't handle was coming here for an ad they have posted online for $3 caipahrinas and not getting them for the quoted price. My date and I took a seat at a table near the bar. After a few minutes of sitting there unnoticed, a server came over to get our orders-I ordered the aforementioned caipahrinas...they were okay, I could see why they would be $3 because they put club soda in it as well-not a traditional caipahrina. We had a few more rounds and decided to tab out. I was very surprised to receive a bill for $42 for the 6 drinks we ordered. We asked our server why we were charged $7 per drink, when they advertised them for $3. She said that was an old ad, and I informed her that I looked at it today. She then asks me if I printed out the drink special...WOW. I told her nevermind and just paid the bill. Last time I'll ever go there.

I came here last Friday on a date and was extremely impressed. We had outstanding service, food and entertainment. They had a Brazilian band playing live music with samba dancers after dinner. Very energetic, and diverse crowd.

If your interested in something different on a Friday, then you must go to Ole!

I really upset with place.... Last night I went to Ole Lounge to see one of my good friend samba.... I got there at about 9:45, the place was full but not really overly crowded at about 10 i got menu and i order and got drink.... While waiting, more people started to pour in and time went by, I got another drink... A hour when by and still no food.... About 15 minutes later I got my food.... So, I had to one hour and fifteen minutes for tapas..... wow!!!!! Then top it all off the food was cold when I got it..... I'm not into sending plates back into the kitchen, I know what can happen sometimes it you do that.... The serve was very very slow.... I wasn't pleased at all so I left 15% tip, so when I checked my bank account I saw the my waiter had changed my tip to what he though his service was worth.... 20% I always give over 20% but when the service is bad i give just the standard. I was very displeased about because I had a great experience last time I was at Ole Lounge.... It's really sad!!!! If you have waiters and waitresses doing that your place won't last long and its also thief... I really like that place and its the first time I ever had that happen to me in Chicago....

An excellent, cool place that is great for Tapas! Just like in Spain, the OLE tapas are cheap and goooood! The location is great and the folks who frequent it are well dressed for a fun night out. The decor is swank... but, not too swanky that it's intimidating. And don't turn down eating at the bar... just like in Spain, their tapas are served with lots of flavor and in a social atmosphere... eating at the bar just makes it a perfect place to take a date out for a quick bite and drink before your night on the town. (and what I mean by a bite is more like a meal... ordering about ~6 tapas... you and your date will both be more than just a bite full) As you could guess, we haven't eaten anything else but their tapas, so I can't speak to the "dinners"... but, who cares! There just aren't enough places like this place in chicago... so enjoy, and have fun! Oh... PS: the bar is stocked and well tended!

The food was great. I ordered:

- beef tender
- goat cheese
- shrimp
- chocolate cake

You should definitely eat their shrimp here. They use a special sauce and the process allows the food to come out light and flavorful. You can really taste the basil and garlic. Do try some with a squeeze of lemon. I highly recommend their goat cheese tapas!

The service was good.

This is what we need in lakeview.., quaint restaurants with great, interesting, worldly food. This is Spanish food folks... pretty authentic. I am sure you will like it if you never had tapas b4. After living in chi-city for a few years, we were really looking for something outside the chain world. This place is even better than some of the Spanish restaurants in the city.

Sangria - good flavors and powerful :)

Tapas - good mix of cold/warm, with all the Spanish classics - tortilla, meatball, beef tender, croquettes, spanish style soup, olives. The bread is nice and fresh - good to use to soak up in the soup.

Paella - I had it a few years back, so I won't review it here, but I'll try it next time. They get pretty creative.

Dessert - great chocolate cake.

Service - helpful in deciding/knowing what to order and they didn't try to trick us into ordering too much - the # of orders we placed was perfect for us.

I went to Ole Lounge for a friend's birthday over the weekend, friendly staff not to mention how nicely decorated it is. Everything was EXCELLENT, great spot (very cozy) for a get together, we (all 12 of us) were sitting almost next to the DJ (good music) and were still able to have conversation without having to SHOUT!
For all the fellas....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Ole Lounge. Food was excellent, prices reasonable, staff very friendly you won' be disappointed, however, there is no valet service so parking really sucks!

I hosted my Birthday here this past weekend and had such a wonderful experience. The space provided for the private party was perfect and really allowed our group to hang out comfortably with plenty of room. The bar was so accomadating to our needs and really made sure everything ran smoothly the entire night. The package deal worked out great and the included tapas was a great perk. All in all everybody had a great time!

Just had dinner here last weekend and had an outstanding time there with a few of my girlfriends.

Their Sangria and poblano pepper were my favorites.

I will go back for drinks and tapas since prices are also reasonable.

I ended up booking my birthday party here at ole lounge, which I think is a good place to throw a party: great service, don't have to worry about planning or organizing it-they did everything for me and great friendly staff. It worked out perfect. There was about 40 of us over the weekend and we had a blast.
