For Wrigleyville residents needing an escape from sports bars, Moxie brings an upscale aesthetic that's part martini bar, part Euro-style tapas haven. Redesigned in 2005 by Knauer Incorporated (the firm that designed Gibson's, Monsoon and Tavern on Rush), Moxie's interior features exposed steel beams, wooden tables and plasma screen televisions mounted on sandy red and cream stone walls. The menu features blue cheese portobello mushroom caps with roasted shallot cream sauce; goat cheese bruschetta; Tuscan red snapper, and the Moxie Salad with apples, red onions and pecans drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette.
