AWESOMENESS!!

I made a dinner reservation at Landmark because i wanted to try the food. I had been there for drinks a couple of times. I like it because it's low light, very casual, great vibe. They had a good variety of dishes that i couldn't make up my mind. So i got the steak and it was so delicious that i didn't have room to finish it. It was not too loud for it having a lively bar scene. I would definitely go back over and over.

This place is amazing. I have been coming here for years and the service has been the best in Chicago. The food here is always changing and always keeps you on your toes. I would have to say get the pork chop!!! It is the best in Chicago, but make sure you are hungry becuase the cut is about 5inches thick. The mac and cheese is also to die for. Dave the bartender is always mixing up the best drinks as well.

Another STELLAR Experience!

This was my second visit to Landmark. My first visit was planned and was a great way to start out before heading to Steppenwolf. This past Saturday was an impromptu visit - Landmark was a last minute choice for us. We were seated upstairs and David was our server - he was outstanding! I'm a wine enthusiast and his knowledge and own enthusiasm for wine was a real treat. He even steered us towards a lesser priced bottle (a rare move by many servers it seems!) that we thoroughly enjoyed!

Our meal was so delicious! We started with the mussles: so tender and flavorful in a wonderful broth that was perfect for dipping the toasted bread that accompanied the mussles. I had the risotto and my friend the chicken and both were incredibly yummy! We split the asparagus which is cooked over a wood grill, making it SO tasty. Chef Kurt also sent over the sugar snap peas as a treat for the table and they were delicious!

Our server, David, was attentive and charming and really made us feel special...even while tending a large party (10+?) at another table. He (along with other staff) never forgot about us and made what was a last-minute-dining-decision a really, really nice evening out!

Good experience

I went there before a show, they were obviously very attentive to our time limit. My friend and I had the pre fixe menu. You could pick three options from appetizers, salads, and entrees for $35, which we thought was a steal! We also had the flight of wine that was matched to our food choices for and additional $15, which was a great addition to the dining experience. I had the mushroom tart, beet salad, and risotto. All were great with the exception of the risotto, it was a bit bland. My friend had the scallop with pork belly (which he drooled over), Wheat blugur salad (he said it was a bit dry) and the steak (which he loved). For dessert I had the pumkin bread pudding (it was super dry and very gingery) and he had the brownie sunde (yummie!). Not everything was great, but as an overall a good experince. I would definetly go back.

Fantastic

I came in with a couple of friends because we were going to hang at the bar for awhile and sat down for dinner - what a fantastic time we had. Our server, David, was great - He helped us decide what we would have from wine to food to dessert - unbelievable - he talked with us about our likes and not and helped us through the entire night. Really great service from start to finish. The scallop and mushroom tart appetizers are wonderful. We share the fresh green salads and also our entrees. The pork chop was AMAZING and I am not kidding. Probably the best I have had. We also shared the risotto and lobster club sandwich. We were some happy girls and will definitely be back again for dinner. Not just a club atmosphere but an incredible dining experience.

Excellent pre-Steppenwolf restaurant

My wife and I had dinner there last Saturday night at 5:30 before a theater performance at the Steppenwolf Theater which is right across the street. The staff is very friendly, martini was excellent, squash risotto very good, maple baked potato side excellent, pulled BBQ pork sandwich really good, and ice cream (cinnamon, coffee, maple, vanilla malt) were all excellent. Nice variety of dinner choices, and everything seemed to be excellent quality. We live far west and don't get downtown much any more, but next time we go to this area and particularly the Steppenwolf Theater, we will have dinner there again.

Had dinner here on a sat night. Took my girl here and was totally surprised by how great the food was. I have been here before for drinks but not for dinner. Its such a different atmosphere and we saw how the place changes into bar mode as the night went on.

I had the short ribs and my girl had the chicken and both were very very good. I dont know much about wine so I told our server to just pick something that would go well with what we were eating. I dont remember what it was, but i remember liking it.

Will def be back for dinner here in the future.

We went to Landmark on wednesday night and we found out that it was half price bottles of wine. Our server(Kimberly) was amazingly funny and witty. We were treated to special tastes from the chef. We had some sort of soup during our apps and then we were treated to grilled zucchini during our entrees. The food was absulutely amazing. The dessert was recommened my our server but we decided to try the vanilla pound cake... it was delicious. The experience at Landmark Grill was absulutely amazing. We will be going back. They were so accomodating with everything and it made my birthday that much special!!!

I brought in a few other ladies with me on a Saturday Night because I had been there before and we had the BEST time. Our server was David - Let me tell you something - He is a dreamboat - not only did he help us old ladies choose our selections by knowing all the food - he was just a doll and cute as a button - I wish every server was like him. JUST LOVED HIM!!! Even the Chef came out with some extra stuff - the owner came over - it was such a wonderful time - the food - the table - the service - EVERYTHING was sooooo good. If you haven't dined here yet - RUN - don't walk - top notch in every way - I can't wait to go back. Thanks to David-the Chef-the Owner and everyone.
