Janina's is a cute '60s-looking lounge. Larger than most neighborhood bars, it has seating for almost 50 people and lots of standing room. The walls are an interesting combination of stucco and wood beams with inlaid pebble-mosaic arches. There are a couple of entrances from the street into the bar area plus one from the attached banquet hall. The patrons of Janina's make a pleasant mix of Americans, Poles and Hispanics. This mix of patrons is also represented on the jukebox. Janina's is a pleasant place to meet friends, old and new, and is a comfortable place to spend a few minutes or a whole evening. Play some pool, watch some TV and talk. The staff is friendly, and so are the customers. No attitude required.
