We live in the area and love coming to Innjoy. My husband and I frequent Innjoy when we want to go out just the two of us, however we have discovered that Innjoy is kid friendly too. Innjoy recently add a kids menu so we have recently been coming here for dinner with our 5 yr old. Best Mac N Cheese in the city if you ask me and the mini burgers are perfect for kids. They also offer chicken strips that are homemade (fresh cuts of chicken breast that are breaded and fryed). With the addition of the children's menu and the dog friendly outdoor cafe this has become our favorite place in Wicker Park. When my husband and I want to hang out and leave our child at home we often head to Innjoy. Sun - Thurs Innjoy is a great hang out place. We have really enjoyed the outdoor cafe this year. Friday and Saturday is elbow rooms only and for the party crowd. It can be a bit crowded. So we try to go there on the slower nights. But they can also be a lot of fun. Saturday nights is a throw back to the 80's. Awesome 80's music is played and the whole bar dances and sings along. Saturday night at enjoy is definately worth the hang over the next morning.
Report This Reviewinnjoy is a pretty good deal, I go every now and then especially on mondays for the cheap wings which are pretty good especially for the price. I read some of the other reviews about innjoy and they were all by the same person who in my opinion was very wrong. Cool place with good food and drinks.
Report This ReviewThe music and vibe here is great if you don't have to get a drink. Probably the WORST place I have ever been to in terms of service in Chicago. Bartenders just sit around and don't provide service, even after acknoledging your presence. After one round, we just closed our tabs and went to Moonshine down the street. Much better.
Report This ReviewWish I read these reviews. The service was awful. They totally botched our order and NOBODY was even in the place. I would never recommend it. The wings were overpriced and pretty dry. All in all, the food is slightly better than the service, which was terrible.
Report This ReviewI went for the first time a few weeks ago. My friend and I got there before the place got really crowded and a had a seat at the bar. Our bartenders were friendly and attentive. Actually, too attentive. I had to stop them from taking my ice-back that went with my whiskey multiple times. After the fifth time of me snatching the glass back, they finally got the idea and left it alone. The crowd was eclectic and somewhat borderline rude: people kept spilling drinks and not apologizing, or breathing down your neck as they waited for a drink. There was enough space where people didn't need to crowd like that. I'd definitely recommend starting out early here and then finishing off somewhere else.
Report This ReviewI went to Innjoy last night (a Saturday night) and it was a sauna. The upside: I probably lost 1/3 of my body weight sweating. Maybe call ahead to make sure everything is in order...
Report This ReviewI have always liked to come to Innjoy. I come here for the food and the atmosphere, def not for the service. I usually come here when I know that I want good food, but am not in a hurry to get anywhere and don't mind waiting for the slow, sometimes rude staff.
When you are seated there is a wine list prominently displayed on the table. There is usually about 5 red and 5 white listed. The last four times we have come here I have ordered red wine and every time they come back saying "we're out of that" or they say it right after I order "oh we don't have that one". So last time I thought I would be smart and asked "which of these wines do you have?" the waitress rudely said "here's the wine list" and picked up the list that was right in front of me... so I ordered and she didn't even hesitate a moment before saying "oh yeah we don't have that one"
now I know to go in and just say "bring me a glass of red wine. whatever you'd recommend" LOL
The food is always excellent though. And fairly affordable for the large portions.
Report This ReviewMet a friend haven't seen in a while. The waitress came off as cute and attentive to start, and then turned plain annoying, rude, clueless, and sooooooo fake.
Come on, do you really need to sell pizza that bad? Did you need us to pay the check to get out of there? You could have asked...
And upscale? Ha! There is nothing upscale about this bar food, service, or drink. I'm bummed, I once enjoyed this place, years ago.
Go to small bar next door, so much better...
The drinks are watery and expensive. The bartender tipped the gin for one second over each glass in our round of gin and tonics. That's called a splash, not a pour, and we felt ripped off. The Friday night crowd is full of loud mouth drunk girls. Not good.
Report This ReviewThis place has become pitiful. I used to really like it, but 2 weekends ago I gave it its last chance. 30 minutes for a drink, an hour for bad food. Sad.
