A little over a year ago former co-workers took me to the club for drinks prior to my retirement. The live music and wait staff were great. I also started a jazz club crawl from this location and wanted to stay all evening. My only complaint is that the lighting in the table area is (was) a little to dim.

I visited Close up 2 about 2 months ago, and I had an excellent time. The look and style of the place was unique. Also, the service was friendly and punctual. My drink of choice (Sprite on the rocks) was a little exspensive, but overall it was well worth it. Just to let know; I am going back tonight!!!

This is the only place in chicago where you can actually relax have nice cocktail be around friendly people, meet new people. The employees are great so down to earth...I mean seriously live music intimate atmosphere, what more can you ask for?

Excellent music, great ambiance, wonderful service, the best value in the loop for live smooth/contemporary jazz music. I don't know where they find these bands but they are great! A must visit club if you love contemporary/smooth jazz.

I am a Jazz fan. Anywhere that plays Jazz I love but, this place place has a little more. It has a comfy atmosphere, great service, and good drinks. It's missing one thing, they don't serve any food but it would be a great after work meet up place or a great place to go after dinner. Check it out I can see myself becoming a regular here.

Relaxed atmosphere with great service. Full bar with extensive wine/bubbly list. If you're looking for a place for socializing with friends to corporate hob nogging, this is a good choice. Ordering take out from nearby restaurants is the ONLY drawback.

This is one of the most upscale, sexy, relaxed spots in the city. Service is great and music is always amazing. Great live concert for the value. They make a mean chocolate martini.
