I've come here often and have never been disappointed. The food, service and ambience is excellent! Highly recommend this place.
Report This ReviewIt does have a great atmosphere, but I wasn't impressed with my experience. I went with a large group (18 people) for a special event and were able to get a pre fixed price ($70) which included sangria and tapas. After we left our entire group was in agreement, that we would have been better off going to Cafe BabaReeba and just ordering a la carte or something similar.
Our deal ended up not being a good deal at all. The sangria was extremely sweet, almost like they took out the wine and added extra juice. By the end of the evening, no one wanted any because it was way too sweet. We were able to pre select 5 different types of tapas (which personally for a group of 18, having only 5 DIFFERENT types isn't too impressive).
It took forever for the tapas to arrive and believe it or not, none of us were full after the dinner. Basically, we all felt like they kind of just ripped us off by having crappy drinks and not providing enough food. The food that they did bring out, no one in our group was overly impressed with. We ended up getting late night food somewhere else because everyone was still hungry.
Not worth the money, in my opinion, to do a pre fixed meal at this place!
Report This ReviewThis was the worst tappas experience I've had. To start the experience, our waitor did not give our table bread, while the surrounding tables did. I would say that hald of our dishes were microwaved- HUGE turn-off! The food had not flavor (probably the result of pre-prepared, microwaved food). I would definately not recommend this place to anyone. the only positive this i have to say is that the sangria was ok.
Report This ReviewMy wife and I who live only a few El stops away wanted some Tapas, but didn't want to go to the Armitage Area or downtown, so we tried this place. Great selection of Tapas and Sangria. I drank through a pitcher of Sangria like it was nothing... BIG selection of Tapas and generally all good. We did have a nit on the paella, a little soupy for me, but maybe that's how they make it. Service was good, and the later it got, the busier the place got. Great location, good atmosphere, service was real good, and food was great.
Report This ReviewIf you like the worst frozen appetizers from a grocery store on top of hummingbird juice sangria, then this place is for you. Add a few Lincoln Park Trixies and you are right at home. Go down the street to Tango Sur, it is well worth the wait.
Report This ReviewIf you are looking for authentic delicious tapas, this is the place.
We had goat cheese croquettes with honey and balsamic, ham and manchego cheese, chorizo empanadas, and asparagus with manchego cheese and roasted peppers.
They were all delicious and very authentic and the sangria was very tasty.
totally suprised to the quality of food in this place, it was nothing short of excellent. great dishes on the menu and they were all fantastic. loved the dates and also the specials they had going. going back to try some of the other items there was much to choose from.
Report This ReviewFood was bad, Sangria was sub par, and service sucked. I would never go here again.
Report This ReviewI went with my sister and we had a great time. We ordered quite a few dishes and each one was better than the next. The waiter suggested a delicious bottle of wine. We will definitely be going back. The chef was born and raised in Venezuela and lived in Spain before moving to Chicago. Decor is cozy. MUCH better than Cafe BaBa Reba.
Report This ReviewBull-eh-Dia's has a great feel. I will admit the decor is cute and comfy and I adored the tin ceiling, however, the food wasn't as great. I was excited to try the potatoes with spicy sauce - ready to compare them to Twist and Cafe Ba Ba Reebas', but they looked and tasted like they came out of a frozen bag. The scallops, empanadas, crab cakes, chicken croquettes, and bacon wrapped dates were all okay, but nothing too impressive. I'm glad I tried it, but as of right now I'm sticking with Twist, Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, and 1492 if I want tapas.
