The longtime blues promoter known simply, but accurately, as Boss Man took over what was once Mr. Tee's lounge and made it all his own. "I'm a die-hard blues man," said the colorful Mississippi-born proprietor. "I know more about the blues than anyone." (He passed away in the fall of 2006.) After taking over from Mr. Tee, Boss Man spent big bucks upgrading this spot, installing a glass facade and snazzy new bar. There are live blues performers Wednesday through Saturday in the small, frequently crowded club. If you're going, bring cash (credit cards are not accepted). Expect a modest cover charge for bigger names like Tyrone Davis and Bobby Rush.
