The food was absolutely gorgeous, and portions far larger than expected. We loved the mini sized desserts which were such a wonderful idea…

The restaurant ambience was perfect with a pianist playing in the background. (Although don't expect it to be quite, its the in place to be and very bustling)

Try the Martini’s they really are something special.

What made this restaurant just so perfect for us was the service, it was second to none, our server was so friendly and attentive which certainly helped to make the night that extra special. I will certainly be dining here again.

Dissapointingly average

Went to Timpano's for our anniversary and I have to say that it was the worst dining experience we've had in quite awhile. It's not that the food is awful, it's not, it's quite average. Timpano's seems to have difficulty billing itself properly. It is a chophouse but was out of the 6 and 12 oz filet; I passed on mashed potatoes to try "herb crusted potato wedges", which apparently are just french fries; shrimp were absolutely tiny; all the food was quite bland despite sounding very creative on the menu. On the upside the wine was very good and the decor is nice. The night ended on a very sour note when we got the bill which reflected all the food we ordered accurately, but also served as a reminder of the experience we had hoped to share.

I have to say that I am shocked that this restaurant carries a 4-star rating on MetroMix.

The food has been consistantly average or less in the 3 times I have dined here. The one waitress was miserable. The bartenders on the otherhand are awesome. They stir and shake the best drinks in naperville. The desert menu is excellent. What is cool too is that they serve tirimisu, creme brulee and chocolate mouse in shot glasses which is perfect for the person who just wants a little taste of something.

IN SPITE OF PRIOR REVIEWS, we tried Timpano Sat. Aug. 11. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. We were shown our table on time, and except for a short delay in seeing a server, the rest of the service was very good. The chopped salad was great! The steaks were outstanding; best sirloin I've had in a long time. Try it! The banquet in which we were seated needed reupholstry, ....if not done soon, you might ask for a booster chair!

We were disappointed both the food and service in this restaurant. The service personnel were more interested in socializing with each other then paying attention to the patrons.

Went here for an anniversary dinner. Very dissapointed. Service is just bad for this type of establishment. Server was clueless when asked about certain dishes. Food was ok. Had better. Plenty of other much better restarants of this type in the area. Would not go back.
