"You don't need to be afraid of brawls breaking out," says third-generation owner Joe Assenato of his friendly place, established in 1946. Joe's has 12 tables and a bar with stools that have backs. Though Little Joe's may look like a simple bar, it's also an Italian restaurant. The menu includes antipasti, stuffed artichokes, garlic bread, calamari, baked clams, pasta, eggplant Parmigiana, veal Parmigiana, sandwiches and cannoli.
