We dined her August 25th, on a Saturday night. The weather was perfect, so we opted to dine on the rooftop patio. The service was great, very attentive, but not intrusive. I had a taste for something authentically Italian, but one of the specials sounded so good, I had to try it. It was a veal chop stuffed with Italian sausage, raisins and prunes...man...delicious! It came with a reduction sauce, Dutch potatoes, and spinach. My wife had the rigatoni with sausage, mushrooms, in a tomato cream sauce...outstanding! For the two dinners, a ceasar salad, and a bottle of Pinot Grigio, $78. We shall return soon.

My first thought as I was walking in this place was..."Why is it so dead on a friday night?" The waitress was horrrridable. The food ok. I mean the bus boy was more attentive to us than she was. My lemon chicken was meh, and the (3) roasted wedge potatoes it came with were dry. My b/f's far falle con prosciutto was pretty good, but not good enough for me to return. However, this place did give my b/f and I something to laugh about this weekend.

Nice place, very cozy and conversation freindly with pefectly dim lighting. Food was amore, very nice Sea bass and calamari grigilia, the best. Waiter Josh was good and very hott looking. All in all when doing a little business in Chicago, this is the place for me. Viva La Vita!

I recently went to a holiday party at La Vita. The food was incredible! Gorgonzola Salad, Sea Bass, Risotto, everything was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant! Great date place.
