Good food quite a few steps above normal bar fair, good beer selection, the bartenders are really nice and cool and prices are pretty fair. What's not to like about a cozy Irish Pub atmosphere?

I would vote this the best Irish Bar in Chicago, the food,atmosphere is excellent so authentic as irish bars go .You can see this a well run family bar, as the staff are so friendly and good fun also.

Having been to Britain, I can't tell you how much I love the Irish Oak. It puts me right back to being in England, Wales or Ireland. The mood is perfect, and I know of nowhere else in the city where I can get my beloved cider AND blackcurrent!! I am so glad I found my favorite bar right away and I am more than happy to spread the word!! Great everything, no complaints at all!

Best Irish bar in Chicago! The staff is top notch and the food is excellent! I was also very suprised about the quality of entertainment. The guy playing acoustic guitar and singing (Matt something) was awesome. Good tunes, good times, and good people!! I would recommend this bar to anyone who enjoys a pleasant relaxing experience. Not only do I enjoy the Oak, but the "Irish Lady" behind the bar is outstanding...Gary! The Irish Oak is a place of tradition. The friendly atmosphere, and the incredible and efficent staff make it impossible to have a bad experience. The food is amazing and consistent and the beer is always fresh and cold! Hats off to the Irish Oak!
