Don't bother

The beer selection was good, but the food was not. It was not busy the evening we ventured in. The server took our order (didn't write anything down) and of course - I did not get what I ordered. Not only did I not get what I wanted - the side order (mashed potatoes) that I did want, was not hot.

Best Bar In Town
By IMissChicago3 from Lincoln Square, March 4, 2009

It all started when I began guitar lessons at the Old Town School Of Folk Music, this bar is just steps away and so inviting I went in for a pint. Needless to say I patroned the bar until I moved and upon my return plan on taking it in on every occassion. I think the owners may have changed but on recent visits the vibe was still nice. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly employees. A great place to take out-of-towners and actually be able to hear the people you're with. Great range of characters throughout the bar. I just adore this place!

go for the beer list stay away from the food

Went there tonight. Quesidillas were great. Spicy chicken sandwich was terrible. Dry and pounded flat as a board. My irish stew had one small chunk of meat, huge potatoes and big carrots. Totally not worth the price. Where was the beef? The bar tender/ manager said they were in the middle of finding a chef. Better keep looking!!!!

Great Burgers!

If you are looking for a great burger you should check out this Pub. My mom got the Corned Beef and said it's the best she ever had. The night we were there, there was an Irish band playing. Loved the ambiance.

Do Not Order The Corned Beef
By Ethan from Ethan, April 20, 2008

How does an Irish place ruin corned beef? It came way over cooked, fatty, and not even strained after it was boiled so the bread was completely soggy. Its the worst corned beef I have ever had.

Love the Grafton

It's always been my favorite. A great place to meet friends and they serve up the best pint in the city. The food is always decent and with the crowd from the Old Town School of Folk, which is right next door, coming and going you'll never know what you might hear. My friends tease me because I wont try any place else. What can I say, I found a neighborhood favorite.

My friend and I had a great dinner here. She liked her buffalo chicken strips while I enjoyed a juicy burger topped with goat cheese. Our waiter, Jenny, was so cheerful and friendly and "on it." The next time we find ourselves in Lincoln Square, we'll be sure to drop in again!

I love this place. We go here often and love the wings and beer specials. We had pretty bad service the last time (didn't even receive a check--we had to ask for it at the front bar). We'll still go back though...I love a bar you visit where you can actually hear the person next to you.

My favorite place to go any night of the week, especially with a group of friends. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the even hotter red-headed waitress by the name of Jenny

My friends and I head to the Grafton as often as possible. It is so great to find a place that keeps Irish heritage "real". The beer selection is great and the hottest blonde waitress/bartender named Maggie works there! I go there just for the service!!!!!!
