Great Pub! A bit of Ireland in Frankfort. Smoothest Guiness outside of Ireland! Great beer list, staff really knowledgeable about the beer. The food awesome, Chef Rex does a awesome job. Can't wait for Friday to see the Ploughboys.

Best Pub in South Suburbs Period, including Beverly Chicago

I've got to tell you, I've been to all the Irish Pubs downtown and in the Beverly neighborhood and Chicagoland and not one comes close to Galway. There's not a better pour of Guiness anywhere in the Chicago area. First off, the place is absolutely beautiful! Secondly, the food is first rate and the staff the same. Niall, the owner, is always around and always fun to talk to. I have brought many people here and they all keep coming back.

Response to Gift Cert Comment
By Tribesman from Frankfort, January 17, 2008

Hello Hoots
We dont sell gift "certificates" at the Tribes. We only sell Gift Cards which never expire (they are like debit cards). There are companies out there that have purchased large gift cards from us and have created gift certs for them to sell to 3rd parties at discounted rates. The expiration dates on these certificates are indeed adhered to as this is out of our control.
My suggestion is that if you would like to purchase a gift card for The Tribes, you do so at the Pub or thru our website!
My best to all of you and i wish you all a blessed New Year ahead...

Beware of gift certificates

Although I enjoy Galway Tribes, beware that their gift certifcates are only for 6 months and they will NOT honor them after expiration. I think this is a complete rip-off since they take your money for the gift certificate.

Frankfort is on the map now thanks to Galway Tribes. This establishment is beautiful. It's easy to sit and think you are far away on an emerald isle. Thank you to Naille! (owner)

I never would have expected to find an Irish Pub worth the name after most places I've seen in the suburbs, but they did it, near strip malls and all. Great Food. Great Music, and above all, best Beer list! Not just Guinness at this spot. Everyone should go!

This is the most pub-like atmosphere I've found anywhere in the Chicagoland suburbs. It has an outstanding selection of beer, an excellent pub decor with cozy fireplaces and quite often has live traditonal Irish music performed by what otherwise appear to be patrons sitting at a table sipping their beers. The food is decent and, overall, it is a well worth a visit.

This is one of the nicest Irish pubs I have ever seen! The atmosphere is classy and the food is wonderful. I also think the Guinness is the best in Chicago....I highly recommend it to any fans of Irish pubs or of great food and drink!
