Our favorite place

My friends and I have been back here again and again since December. It's our go-to place whenever we go out, but don't want to get dressed up/pay city prices. The service is just okay, but we love the vibe. There are always interesting people. It's very locals-oriented, but not in a way that you can't break in to a clique and always with new faces.

I went to Slainte a couple of weeks ago after work for a drink with my boyfriend. The cosmo was watered down, tasted like old bad ice. The waitress was slow and unfriendly and spent more time eating at the end of the bar then checking on us. We were never offered a food menu. Too bad cuz we go out often and tip well. We were there for shift change and the waitress that was coming in for the second shift seemed nice and friendly, it's too bad we got the other one.

$7.50 for a Coke?????

My boyfriend and I went to Slainte tonight and we had an excellent dinner. But when the bill came, I saw that the bar tender charged us $2.50 for three cola refills my boyfriend had during dinner. They didn't tell us refills were not free and charged us $7.50 for his pop. Wait...there's more. She charged me $6 for a standard draft Sam Adams. $6!!! Good luck to you Slainte cause I love your food, but I'm not going to pay that premium on drinks.

I recently hosted a 30th Surprise Party at this establishment and had a HORRIBLE experience. I spoke with one person to plan the whole thing and had to deal with 4 other people the night of my party that were not informed of the deal I had. Very frustrating when you think you have everything planned and you have to explain to 4 other people agreements that should've already been taken care of. The food was great and the space was awesome, but the two bartenders working the party were incredibly rude. I had complaints not only from the guests, but from the birthday boy himself!!! Thanks Slainte for the space, but we won't be hosting anything here anytime soon!

Got to love this bar! I have enjoyed visits to Slainte. The waitresses, bartenders, and DJ ROCK! I also enjoy playing a friendly game of pool, it seems everyone wants to join in on the fun. The staff always takes customer satisfaction personally, and are always making new comers feel like they are old friends, which is also a huge plus these days!

I have to say Slainte is a great place to go! The staff and patrons are very welcoming. If you have never been there it is a place you should visit. I moved into the neighborhood and didn't know anybody and they took me under their wing and introduced me to people that I consider good friends of mine now. It is not like any other bar on Madison Street.

I am a frequent visitor of Slainte's and have always found the environment very pleasing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Additionally they have a variety of bar foods on the menu that are all deliscious. I always feel welcome when I visit.

I have been frequenting madison street for over ten years, and I have not found a place that I feel more comfortable in then Slainte. The bartenders are sweet and the best looking girls on the street. Friday nights are the best from the bartenders and the waitresses they are really a great friendly team. The live DJ really changes the atmoshere and makes it feel almost like downtown right here in the suburbs. I rarely go to any other bar on the street but when I do I always end up at Slainte because I am guarenteed a great time.

I've been to this bar many times. I've always had a good time. The patrons and staff are friendly and quick. The food is very good and reasonable. The bar always has activity. The new look of the bar gives the feeling of being in Lincoln Park without having to deal with the limited parking in the Lincoln Park area. Oh, by the way, it's one of the cleanest bars I've been to in a long long time. I plan on bringing more friends the next time I go.

Have the best time every time I go! The staff is friendly, bathrooms are very clean, food is great and the patrons for the most part are very nice. There is always a great crowd on Friday and Saturday nights with dancing, pool, darts and awesome service.
If your in the area I highly suggest you stop by.
