Owned by a couple of Irish-American firefighters (neither of whom are named Shaun), this friendly south suburban pub welcomes locals and visitors from across Chicagoland -- surprise, even northsiders! The most interesting of the fried appetizers are the Gaelic chips: garlic seasoned fries smothered in Smithwick's cheese sauce or homemade curry sauce. Regulars rave about Shaun's wings, while homemade chili and dozen or so sandwiches (including hefty burgers and hot and cold corned beef) round out the menu. Frequent live weekend entertaiment, low-priced daily specials and plus seven HD TVs add to the lively atmosphere.
